Drew Caldwell is the engine behind Christian Eye Network that touches and connects with residents, fellows and practices all over the United States. He energetically engages all those in touch with him and views his job as his ministry. Drew has worked since 2008 to connect ophthalmology practices with talented doctors for employment and partnership opportunities.  Drew attends national conferences including: the AAO, ASCRS, COS and FCO meetings. He has 18 years of experience in healthcare recruitment work.   His real passion however has become encouraging residents and doctors to integrate their faith in their profession.  His favorite book, "Mere Christianity", by C.S. Lewis, was a life changing book.  He happily gives these out to residents and fellows in training whenever he can.

Drew and his wife Michelle, reside in beautiful sunny Hickory, North Carolina. Drew loves golf in the Carolina's and is actively involved in his local church and a long-time participant in evening ministries and bible studies.

Bryan Glanzer

Wherever he has worked Bryan has had a heart to care for the souls of people.  Before joining the Christian Eye Network, Bryan was an associate pastor for ten years at churches in New Mexico and Michigan and before that a network/systems engineer in the computer networking industry for ten years with both NCR and Sprint.  Bryan's desire is to come along side others and together realize what it means to know Christ authentically, learn how to walk with Him, and become who it is that God has called them to be.  The idea of a diverse team joining together in a mission and in the struggle for the ultimate good found in Jesus Christ inspires him.

Having spent most of his childhood years living in Colorado, Bryan loves the mountains and the Denver Broncos.  He enjoys golf, basketball, softball, hiking, biking, reading, and “fix-it” projects around the house.  Bryan is married to Connie and they have two sons, Zachary and Jackson.

cheyenet logo 300 origThe Christian Eye Network (CEN) originated as a response to the needs of job-seeking ophthalmologists and ophthalmology practices to connect with one another year round.  This became evident at a Christian Ophthalmology Society meeting in the early 2000's.  A few years later, In 2006, CEN started work on a website with the goal to connect practices and candidates for mission, ministry and work.  In 2007, after much programming, CEN was released online.

We have grown each year since then and are honored to work with faith-minded practices and candidates nationwide.

On behalf of the Christian Eye Network team, I want your experience with our organization to be like no other recruitment or marketing service you’ve ever worked with.  One of our customers said it best: “Excellence Honors God and Inspires Others!”

Our entire service means nothing if it is not used as a ministry to serve and glorify Jesus Christ.. That’s our passion and we will strive to honor God with excellence in our ministry and in our work.

In Christ,

Stan Pletcher, M.D.

16He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:

18“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,

because he has anointed me

to proclaim good news to the poor.

He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners

and recovery of sight for the blind,

to set the oppressed free,

19to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”f

20Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Luke 4:16-20

missionvision

The Christian Eye Network desires to challenge, encourage and edify the body of Christ so that Jesus will be glorified.  We will work to build up a community of strong ophthalmology practices across the United States committed to ministry, mission and work for the purpose of sharing God's gospel of love and forgiveness through His son Jesus Christ.

The Christian Eye Network has grown from a network and recruiting website offering high quality recruitment services to our customers to a community involved in mentorship, ministry, and missions.

We welcome your involvement in our community and are grateful for the opportunity to work with you, your practice or your future practice.  We know that our existence means nothing if it is not used as a ministry to serve and glorify Jesus Christ.  That's our mission and passion and we will strive to honor God with excellence in our ministry and in our work.

MSICS Training for Surgeons

voi

GSA logow tagl

There is tremendous need for a very good cataract procedure where phacoemulsification technology is either not available or too expensive to provide to the masses that need surgery. Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery (MSICS) is the perfect surgery for much of the world: it is inexpensive, effective, produces minimal astigmatism, sutureless, safe, relatively quick to perform and is relatively simple to learn with good instruction. If you have an interest in doing medical missions in the future, strongly consider MSICS training. Our friends at Global Sight Alliance and Vision Outreach International would love to assist you!
