About Our Medical Center in Temple

Our medical center in Temple, is a 640-bed multi-specialty teaching hospital and the only Level I Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. In 2022, the hospital ranks No.5 of the top 15 teaching hospitals in the United States by Thomson Reuters. The hospital has 31 accredited residency and fellowship programs that include specialties in emergency medicine and radiology and more.

Compensation

New providers with our organization receive a two-year minimum salary guarantee based on level of experience.  There are opportunities to transition to the regular compensation plan sooner than two years.  Our regular compensation plan utilizes an RVU based system based on a blend of national surveys.  For reference, the current blended median (50th percentile) benchmark for RVUs is 6,024 with a corresponding compensation of $172K (50th percentile).  Our Faculty Optometrists produce RVUs in the 85th to 95th percentiles and are compensated accordingly.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Doctorate Degree in Optometry
• License from the National Board of Examiners in Optometry
• State of Texas license from the Texas Optometry Board
