MICHIGAN – CORNEA Surgeon Needed for a Dynamic, Growing Practice in Southwest Michigan

Come practice off the shores of Lake Michigan with a dynamic, growing 12-doctor group practice that has a reputation for fantastic patient care!  We have a wonderful team of Ophthalmologists and Optometrists who work in a collegial, collaborative atmosphere providing general ophthalmology, cornea, glaucoma, plastics, retina care and full-scope optometry services.

We are searching for a talented and motivated Cornea Surgeon to provide compassionate care to an existing and growing patient population.  This a replacement position, so you will be busy immediately.

Finding a surgeon with the best skills is critical for the practice.  Know that you will be able to collaborate with the other doctors and have considerable influence in defining the direction of our Cornea service.  We are looking for a long-term, like-minded doctor for partnership.  

Because of the long-term need fellows-in-training or young ophthalmologists who are or considering Cornea as a subspecialty are also encouraged to learn more about this unique opportunity. Young Ophthalmologists seeking mentors will have a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with our seasoned staff.

We serve 4 locations with a sizable MSA and a large, established referral base. The bulk of the incoming doctor’s work will be at 2 offices -- one in Indiana located minutes from the University of Notre Dame, and our main office which is 10 minutes from the beaches of Lake Michigan and less than 2 hours from downtown Chicago.  We recently completed a brand new 10,000 square foot, 3-suite ASC conveniently located onsite at the main office. Both the offices and the ASC include state-of-the-art equipment:

  • OCT Angiography
  • Optovue, Heidelberg, and Zeiss OCTs
  • Optos with ICG capability -- Two pattern lasers, PDT laser
  • Alcon Constellation with Resight
  • A high-end Zeiss microscope

We also have a large, beautiful in-house optical department and our highly trained staff of technicians and scribes complement the practice's emphasis on efficiency and patient care.

A Cornea surgeon who is interested in global eye care for the world’s under-served will absolutely love our practice. Many of the doctors and staff here have an inspiring heart for missions and participate in international eye care relief trips regularly.

Qualified Cornea candidates can expect a competitive salary ($400K base) and incentives package and an attractive option for partnership after 24 months.
