Ben Roberts from Tenwek Hospital shares this fun picture in his newsletter recently:
Pictured below is a typical day of eye surgery at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet, Kenya. While currently there is only one operating theatre, the surgical space is maximized by doing 3 simultaneous surgeries. I am seated on the left; our clinical officer, David Sawe, on the right; and our current ophthalmology resident in the middle. Though crowded, it makes for good accountability and jovial fellowship during long days.
We look forward to keeping you updated on the construction of our new eye facility in the months ahead . . . currently we are sifting through local approvals needed to begin!
